BANFF Film Festival
Apr 9th, 2007 by LoPo
Last Wednesday I went to the BANFF File Festival with some friends. There were over 1,400 people in attendance and it was one of the coolest events I’ve attended. The festival consisted of 10 films ranging from 3 mins to 40+ mins each. There was some films of awesome Noboarding, Kayaking, Ice climbing, a couple that road their bikes across Mongolia, China, and India some ~7,000+KM, and much more. If the tour hits your town I highly recommend you get your rear over to see it.
I’m going to try Kayaking this summer. Reno has it’s own Kayak Park, designed by the same guy that designed the course for the Sydney Olympics.

Might be interesting, except that it’s hosted at REI, the worst store ever. C’mon… an “outdoor” store that doesn’t sell fishing gear or guns? BOYCOTT REI!
It wasn’t hosted at REI, it was hosted at the Nugget. REI was a sponsor. Outdoor gear goes beyond fishing and guns.
I was just talking about the BANFFs near me.
